Why Study IP Chemistry?
Realise it or not, deep down we are all chemists. Every time we light a match, boil an egg or simply breathe in and out, chemistry is involved. Our bodies grow, develop and function entirely as a result of the chemical processes that go on within them. Our clothes and nearly all the objects of our everyday life are manufactured by the chemical transformation of raw materials like oil or iron ore, or by the chemical treatment of natural products like wood or wool.
Most of the food we eat is grown with the help of chemical fertilisers and kept from rotting with chemical preservatives. If we are to protect the planet from the harmful effects of human activity, we need to understand as clearly as possible the complex chemical systems which made up our environment of land, sea and air.
As well as being fundamental in our daily lives, chemistry is also a fundamental subject in science. In different areas it overlaps with biology and medicine, with physics and engineering, and with geology and earth science.
CURRICULUM & PEDAGOGY
- The most important feature of any tuition centre is its teaching staff. The students at our centre are particularly fortunate to be taught by one of four well-qualified and highly experienced current IP/JC teachers with proven examination success.
- Our teachers are available before and after lessons to assist students with their regular homework problems or with any other issues.
- All lessons are taught in well-equipped classroom , allowing teachers to integrate aids like audio-visual software and 3D models into their lessons to enhance their understanding of difficult concepts.
Key areas of study included in this course are; Principle of Chemistry, Chemistry of the Elements, Organic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry & Chemistry in Society.
Our IP Chemistry tuition program will not only help students to develop a thorough understanding of important chemistry principles and practical skills but also teach them to apply these knowledge to solve real world problems. Through this approach, we hoped to develop their interest in Chemistry and also to lay a strong foundation within the child which will be essential if the child were to pursue H2 Chemistry at the A Levels.
